You threw down her night
With the beat of your wings
The brush of fingertips become feathers
In places too intimate
For anything so mundane as sense
She watched heaven rear behind your eyes
And reached trembling for the face
That shattered her thoughts
And shook the temple of her pulse
As you lifted her high and tore
The barriers between innocence....
